his circuit is comprised of a several simple exercises that, when done continuously, produce more lactate than most of the General Strength (GS) circuits I assign.  Circuit named the Blue Monk for Thelonious Monk, who said "Simple ain't Easy."

Jay,
I also have been wondering what the best possible thing to for myself, I am sixteen and have had three stress fractures. I am still growing and not as mature as a typical sophmore, but still what would this come from? I have been lifting, but I want to find something that will prevent injury, but I also want to find something to do to improve my power output and speed. I have really good endurance, but no speed and its definatly my biggest hold back. Will general strength help with both or is lifting the thing to do. I have heard that it can stunt your growth and I don't want that.

This thing looks so simple, but tough at the same time pretty darn hard. Yall are are right though, I am definatly looking forward to trying it out. But, I also can't do the high ball toss. So will this improve one's lactate threshold at all? Cause I am injured right now and can't run or bike, and I absolutly hate swimming.

It looks fun, I do a lot of those exercises but never together so i will have to test it out. Do you have any recommendations for something other than the high ball toss? I can't do that at the gym I frequent.

I'm definatly looking forward to trying all of this out.I've already tried the running arms and they definatly help with form. Also, would you recomend any of these exersises to strengthen a bad knee?
Thanks so much.

This circuit is a killer...and a great way to introduce lactate into the system without running a step.
